According to the 2016 World Economic Forum Report, an estimated 65% of children entering school today will ultimately spend their adult lives working in a career that does not currently exist today (WEF, 2016). While this may sound surprising, this has been the trend for generations. So how do we continue to prepare our children for lives and careers that are filled with technological advances and political landscapes that we can't yet imagine?
At NeuroBridge, each of our lessons infuse 21st Century Skills that foster independent thinking and responsibility alongside the learning process. Our Executive Function Coaching relies heavily on strengthening the cognitive functions related to these skills so that children can succeed academically and in real-world situations. We believe that teaching the child HOW to learn is just as important than teaching the child WHAT to learn.
Critical Thinking
Critical thinking involves the analysis, evaluation, and synthesis of information to form reasonable judgments and solve problems. It involves breaking down complex ideas, evaluating evidence, and making connections between different concepts. We foster critical thinking through questioning, problem-solving, and metacognition strategies.
Organization
Organization is crucial in the learning process as it facilitates efficient task management, time allocation, and goal achievement. Communication
Teaching students how to communicate and advocate for themselves is paramount for their personal and academic development. It equips them with the skills to express their needs, opinions, and boundaries effectively, fostering autonomy and self-awareness. Additionally, it prepares them to navigate various social and professional contexts, empowering them to advocate for their rights and interests confidently.
Persistence
