Service Description
Considering homeschooling or making an unexpected transition to learning at home? You don't have to figure it all out on your own. The Homeschool Transition Consultation is a personalized 90-minute virtual session designed to help families create a realistic, individualized plan for their child's learning. Before we meet, you'll complete a brief intake so I can learn more about your child, your family's needs, and the questions you'd most like to address. During our consultation, we'll work together to identify priorities and create a homeschool approach that feels manageable for your family. Depending on your needs, we may explore: • Your child's strengths, learning needs, and interests • Curriculum and resource options • Creating a realistic weekly schedule and routine • Deciding what to teach at home and what support to outsource • Executive functioning and organizational systems • Supporting ADHD, dyslexia, giftedness, twice-exceptionality, or other learning differences • Balancing academics with flexibility and family life • Identifying additional academic or professional supports when needed Following our meeting, you'll receive a personalized 30-Day Homeschool Transition Plan summarizing your priorities, recommendations, resources, and next steps. Whether you're choosing homeschooling intentionally or navigating an unexpected change in your child's educational plans, the goal is simple: to help you move forward with clarity and confidence. No ongoing NeuroBridge services are required. Families who would like continued support may also choose from homeschool consultation, academic tutoring, executive function coaching, and other individualized NeuroBridge services.
Cancellation Policy
Out of respect for all parties' time, the following Cancellation and No Show policies are in place: CANCELLATION POLICY All cancellations must be made at least 12 hours prior to our scheduled lessons. If a cancellation occurs 12 or more hours before the lesson’s start time, you will not be charged any cancellation fees. Any cancellations that are made between 0 and 12 hours in advance will be charged 100% of the lesson’s cost. If a student does not show up within 15 minutes of the lesson’s start, the lesson will be considered canceled and will thus be charged in full. HOW TO CANCEL OR RESCHEDULE We recommend agreeing to reschedule instead of canceling sessions whenever possible - you can do that at any time before the session start time. If a student wishes to cancel a scheduled lesson, they must do so 12-hours BEFORE the lesson start time via the GoPeer website. Doing this will result in no charge on your card or loss of credit. As a parent, student, or tutor, you are able to “cancel" or “reschedule” lessons at any time 12 hours prior to the session start time, directly through the website. You can access the link directly through your confirmation email. STUDENT NO-SHOW Tutors will always wait for at least 15-minutes in the online lesson space. If the student has not joined the lesson by that time, tutors reserve the right to consider the lesson to be a 'no-show' and up to 100% of the lesson fee will be charged. EXTENUATING CIRCUMSTANCES If there are any extenuating circumstances (family emergency etc.), we will take them into consideration when assessing cancellation fees. TUTOR COMMITTMENT Our tutors respect your time, and as such, will make every effort to adhere to the scheduled time. If a tutor has to cancel a lesson, they will send a message through the website messaging system, cancel the session via the website, and you will not be charged. If a tutor is late or absent for a lesson, you will get 100% credit for the lesson to compensate for your time.
